First of all, you should be commended for taking the first step in moving forward if you are contemplating separation or divorce, or if you’ve been surprised by your spouse’s request to separate. I am a family law attorney who practices in Orange, Chatham, Durham, and Wake County. I can handle cases involving child custody disputes, property distribution, alimony, domestic violence, and divorce in general. I particularly like assisting couples with separation agreements to have in place before they separate. While I don’t mind litigating matters in the courtroom, often I am able to work with my client to negotiate, mediate, or settle a matter without needing to go to court, if this is my client’s desire.
